Nice and quiet place. The B section is great for big rigs and has the best view.

Oak Hollow Campground is run by the City of High Point. Don't let that stop you from visiting. The campground staff is friendly and helpful, the rates are reasonable and the facilities are very good for the price.

I didn't wander the full campground as we were there with a group and my time was taken up with those festivities. We did see Loop A and Area B. Loop A sites are wooded and somewhat on the smaller side. Area B, where we stayed, is a large open area, fully graveled with a large picnic shelter. Sites are lined off and they average 40' wide and are very deep. I would like to have seen LooP C, but again, the opportunity did not present itself. All sites are first come, first served. The do reserve sites for groups.

Utilities are fantastic. The electric is strong, I never saw it go below 122 volts on my digital power meter and temperatures reached the low 90s. Water is a little on the low pressure side, but it's adequate. Sewer was sewer--the poo went away and nothing smelled. They also have cable TV and a fairly good wireless system. They would make the wireless system better if they put some traffic controls and bandwidth shaping in place.

We did not use the bathhouses. I did have a look at the pool. It was after Labor Day, so it was closed, but it is a nicely done pool, if a bit on the small side.

Oak Hollow Lake is right beside you, so you can sit there and watch the water, fish, or kayak. There is also Oak Hollow golf Course, which is a Pete Dye design. It is also a City of High Point facility and ran to the same high standards as the campground. If you like tennis, there are some very nice tennis courts, including several clay courts.

If you're interested in area restaurants and resupply, there are plenty of both, and the drive to any of it isn't bad.

Several people have mentioned traffic noise, and yes, there is some. It isn't unbearable when the leaves are on the trees. I suspect in the winter it's a different story.

We're relatively near by, so this is one we're saving this one on our list to return to.
